According to the Des Moines Register, the Des Moines area has received 54.2” of snow as of 2/15/10. Our yearly average for this time of year is 28.9”. We only have to receive 14 more inches of snow to break the all time record.
I think since we have suffered through the most difficult part of the winter we might as well go for the record, at least we will have bragging rights!
